30 hours free childcare

The CBI has responded to the Government's call for providers to come forward to deliver its 30 hours of free childcare offer, beginning in September 2016

Neil Carberry, CBI Director for Employment and Skills, said:

"Combining more childcare support with flexible working from employers will give more parents the ability to return to work, so businesses will welcome this move.

"In time, we would like to see the Government extend its offer to children aged one and two, which will mean more parents will be able to stay in employment and not trade opportunity for flexibility due to high childcare costs.

"A critical concern now is the capacity of the childcare market to deliver the additional numbers of places needed - we look forward to working with the Government on this issue."
