IPCC investigating Gloucestershire Constabulary following death of man near Lydbrook

The IPCC has begun an independent investigation after a man in his 50s died while in the custody of police in the Forest of Dean overnight. The death occurred after officers were called to an incident at the Stowfield Business Park at around 11pm recently (Wednesday 22 June 2016).

IPCC investigators were deployed following notification of the incident and have been overseeing post incident procedures.

A post mortem is ongoing and formal identification is yet to take place.

The man was believed to be driving a black Range Rover Sport prior to the incident. Anyone with information is asked to emailwitness@ipcc.gsi.gov.uk or call 0800 096 9070.
