CBI COMMENTS ON CARBON CAPTURE AND STORAGE ASSOCIATION STRATEGY
The CBI yesterday commented on the launch of the Carbon Capture and Storage Association’s report: A Strategy for CCS in the UK and beyond.
Matthew Brown, CBI Head of Energy and Climate Change, said:
“Our recent climate change tracker shows how crucial the next six months are if we’re to get Carbon Capture and Storage technology off the ground.
“The Government urgently needs to clarify funding arrangements for the first four CCS demonstration plants or the UK risks falling behind in the global low-carbon technology race.”
