Socitm 2010: be there and take control
Socitm President Jos Creese has spelled it out: use Socitm's October conference to take advantage of new ideas and rapidly emerging practice, or risk being controlled by fast unfolding events.
Writing about reasons to attend on the newly launched Socitm 2010 microsite, Jos Creese, says there has probably never been a more compelling business rationale for attending Socitm's annual three day event.
'As the cuts begin to bite, and new demands around transparency kick in, radical business transformation is the only answer for our organisations' he says. 'IT leaders and their teams need new skills, new models of delivery and even a whole new culture. The old 'IT support service' model just won't work any more'.
'Socitm 2010 is dedicated to helping IT professionals meet this challenge head on - sharing ideas, driving change, challenging experts, understanding national strategy, and taking away new and emerging practice from the best organizations, UK and beyond.'
'Be there and take control ... or be controlled by events. The choice is yours.'
