CBI responds to Government Social Justice Strategy

The CBI responded to the publication of the Government’s Social Justice Strategy.

Matthew Fell, CBI Director, Public Services Reform, said:

“The CBI welcomes the publication of the Government’s Social Justice Strategy, which rightly focuses on early intervention to prevent social disadvantage.

“It’s encouraging to see the Government starting to take a more joined-up approach - aligning funding streams to support young people, ex-offenders and troubled families through programmes such as community budgets.

“Combining this with a commitment to open up public services to the best public, private and voluntary sector providers and making greater use of payment by results and social investment models, will improve services for users, and drive better value for the taxpayer.”
