Join our Benchmarking user satisfaction service Series 41 registration is now open...
Why this service is more important than ever? The crisis in public sector funding is putting all services under pressure, but ‘back office’ functions like ICT can be particularly vulnerable.
Solutions like outsourcing to the private sector or merger with another ICT service sound particularly attractive - especially if the organisation's management thinks the existing ICT service is under-performing.
Service user satisfaction is a key factor in the credibility of the ICT service.
You will currently be wrestling with how to reduce costs without affecting service quality. You can use the results from the survey to identify to just those areas which your users want to protect, but just as valuable those areas where you could cut back with minimum customer dissatisfaction.
In short, participating in Socitm Insight 's popular Benchmarking user satisfaction service is a highly effective way for managing your service through difficult times for pinpointing problems and prioritising action to fix them. If there are no problems, just wrongly held perceptions, the survey will help put the record straight. You will be able to show your service in a positive light, not just on its own performance, but also in relation to that of other organisations.
The current series has just started and must close by 16 November with a results workshop on 4 December (venue depends on participation).
