Microsoft Public Sector Agreement - update
After working closely with Cabinet Office, negotiations with Microsoft have concluded on the shape of the new Public Sector Agreement (PSA12), which will succeed PSA09.
PSA09 has been extended, incorporating the terms of the December amendment, until 30 June 2012. PSA12, a three year agreement, will begin on 1 July and be available until 30 April 2015.
Key benefits of the new agreement include:
-
Retention of the improved discounts negotiated in December.
-
New Enterprise Agreements (EA) price Level D-40%
-
Subscription Enterprise Agreements price level D-50%
-
Select Agreements price level D-10%
-
Renewal Enterprise Agreements will continue at price level D-22.
-
A move to Microsoft commercial terms and conditions with specific public sector amendments detailing Government licensing concessions.
-
Retention of almost all Government wide concessions and public sector license packages.
-
Mitigation of Microsoft’s announced European price harmonisation price rises. PSA12 will freeze prices at only 1% greater than current pricing. Future price rises will be restricted to a maximum of CPI annually, with Enterprise Agreements active at each anniversary again unaffected by such rises.
This fixed price list is a first for HM Government in its dealings with Microsoft and will protect against the European price harmonisation price increases.
Further details will be available shortly. In the meantime, if you have any questions please email softwarelicensing@gps.gsi.gov.uk.
