The Commons Political and Constitutional Reform Committee has published its fifth report, Voting by convicted prisoners: summary of evidence.

The Committee took evidence last week from:

  • Lord Mackay of Clashfern, the former Lord Chancellor
  • Aidan O’Neill QC, a leading human rights lawyer
  • Dr Eric Metcalfe, Director of Human Rights Policy at JUSTICE


This report summarises this evidence and is intended to help the House in its deliberations when it debates a backbench motion relating to Voting by Prisoners on Thursday 10 February.
