NNFCC - The Impacts of Land Use Change: Myth or Reality?

The NNFCC are holding an event to discuss this controversial issue on Thursday 28th January 2010 at The Royal College of Physicians, London . This event is the ideal opportunity to see the latest research in this very complex area from world-leading experts in the field.

Also on the 28th January, the RFA's first annual report on the impacts of the Renewable Transport Fuels Obligation(RTFO) will be laid before Parliament. The report will include info rmation about the biofuels used in the , the amount of land these fuels were likely to have required, and a new methodology proposed by the RFA to identify areas where biofuel production can expand with a low risk of indirect land use change.
We are pleased to announce that Aaron Berry, the RFA's Head of Carbon and Sustainability and the lead author of the report will be introducing the report at Impacts of Land Use Change event. Aaron will give a short overview of the reports content and the key messages contained within it.
