GACS open meeting: 19 March 2014
The General Advisory Committee on Science (GACS) is issuing an open invitation to its next meeting, which will be held in London on Wednesday 19 March 2014. GACS provides independent challenge and advice on how the Food Standards Agency collects and uses scientific evidence.
At the meeting the committee will be discussing:

reports on FSA's science activities and plans; and on the FSA’s evidence portfolio

an update on scientific advisory committees’ activities

reports from three working groups on

data exploitation
-
use of science in emergencies

use of evidence

a presentation from UK Champion for Global Food Security, Professor Tim Benton
