What is the role of regulation in health and social care?

Book your place for one of the regulation seminars on 5 November or 3 December to discuss quality regulation and the regulation system as a whole.

Alongside the proposals to radically reform the NHS and healthcare in England, the Government's health white paper, Equity and Excellence: Liberating the NHS, promises a fundamental review of health and social care regulation.

NHS Confederation seminar series

Our series of seminars between October and December is looking at what is needed to achieve effective health and social care regulation, particularly in relation to the proposals in the health white paper.

Quality regulation and overall system

Book your place for the 5 November or 3 December seminar and join members, clinicians, academics, regulators and representatives from patient and consumer groups to discuss:

  • quality regulation (5 November)
  • the overall system (3 December).

Economic regulation

Economic regulation was the theme of the first of our first seminars on 8 October. Read a write up of the event.
