Commissioner for Victims and Witnesses publishes new report

Louise Casey, the independent Commissioner for Victims and Witnesses, has today published a new report on improving support for victims in the criminal justice system.

“Ending the Justice Waiting Game” proposes measures to speed up the justice system including ending the right to jury trial in certain cases.

Louise Casey was appointed Commissioner for Victims and Witnesses in March 2010 to act as a representative for victims and witnesses across the criminal justice system and at the highest levels of government.
