Save the date! No Boundaries: the latest thought-leadership conference from ACE’s State of the Arts programme

The latest part in a thought-provoking series of Arts Council England’s State of the Arts conferences, No Boundaries, is taking place over the 25 and 26 February 2014 in Bristol and York. The conference will combine traditional and innovative methods of debate and live link ups between the two host cities.

The conference will be an open symposium that will present questions and challenging new ideas on the role of arts and culture. The aim of the event is to find positive approaches to influence change and to support the sector’s growth.

Part of Arts Council England’s State Of The Arts series, No Boundaries is a key industry event that brings together arts and culture industry leaders and activists to immerse themselves in free debate that will culminate in a two day event 25-26 February 2014 in Bristol and York.

The event will offer provocations, breakout sessions and playful unexpected opportunities. Commissioned and funded by Arts Council England and British Council, No Boundaries is being produced by a consortium of partners:

Watershed Director Dick Penny said:
'Watershed are very pleased to be working with Arts Council England, British Council and a brilliant consortium of partner organisations to produce the next State of the Arts event. No Boundaries will live-link debate in York and Bristol for a two day adventure, thinking about where people, technology and the arts cohere to frame the future. Our invitation is to join a lively debate where we collectively explore our opportunities and our responsibilities.'

British Council Director Arts, Graham Sheffield CBE, also commented that:
'The British Council is pleased to be working with our partners to create No Boundaries. We believe the creative industries and cultural organisations from the UK and around the world have a great capacity to develop and learn from each other. By bringing together a diverse range of voices from within and outside the arts, we hope to inspire new ways of thinking and working together.'

Industry thinkers are invited to find out more, contribute ideas for discussion and register to be kept up to date here. A full programme and ticket details will be announced shortly.

No Boundaries is supported by Arts Council England and the British Council as part of their commitment to convene and strengthen cultural organisations in the UK and internationally. By sharing provocative ideas from a diverse range of sources, new models, methods and collaborations will grow to shape the future of the arts.
