Apprentice opportunities on offer
Young people looking for work found a host of information about job opportunities within the transport industry in London recently.
During National Apprenticeship Week, in partnership with the London Transport Museum, we offered youngsters the chance to find out about apprenticeships available.
We and our supply chain hosted a recruitment fair at City Hall on 4 March to offer advice to people interested in taking up apprenticeship roles in the transport industry.
Plus, throughout the week, free entry to the London Transport Museum was offered to all apprentices where they could learn more about its Route into Work course.
This four-day accredited training course helps prepare young people for employment and is a great opportunity to find out about the wide range of jobs in the transport sector. The programme has been running for more than three years and more than 40 per cent of participants have secured a permanent job.
