Intelligent imaging event to showcase industrial opportunities
Businesses looking for new ideas, solutions or opportunities using scientific imaging can find out how to exploit this technology at the 5th Intelligent Imaging Programme on 14th February 2013 at STFC Rutherford Appleton Laboratory.
The Intelligent Imaging Programme is a joint event organised by STFC’s Harwell Imaging Partnership (HIP) and the Electronics, Sensors and Photonics Knowledge Transfer Network (ESP KTN).
It will showcase the UK’s imaging technology capabilities, as well as providing attendees with an opportunity to network with and hear presentations from a collection of leading companies and academics in the industry.
The agenda will cover a wide range of topics, such as imaging hardware and image processing and display methods, whilst demonstrating the applications of imaging in sectors as diverse as security, aerospace, life sciences and creative media.
The HIP promotes industrial engagement with STFC's X-ray, neutron and laser imaging facilities at the Harwell Oxford science and innovation campus, as well as providing support to the UK imaging community. Aimed at new ‘non-expert’ users, the HIP matches the right imaging technique to often unconventional challenges. With access to over 1,900 world-class scientists and engineers, the HIP is well placed to overcome these challenges.
Mike Curtis-Rouse, Project Lead for the HIP said:
“The UK is at the forefront of scientific imaging advances, particularly in image capture, processing and display. The Intelligent Imaging Programme will allow the UK’s commercial and academic organisations with world-leading imaging knowledge to interact with end-users from a range of industries.”
