CBI responds to Ofqual consultation
The CBI responded to an Ofqual consultation on new A Level regulatory requirements.
Neil Carberry, CBI director for employment and skills policy, said:
"Science is a practical discipline, and hands-on-experience is vital preparation for apprenticeships and inspiring young people in the first place.
“It must remain a key part of the curriculum to help ensure the respected A Level brand is not damaged.
"Businesses understand the need for high standards, but the answer is achieving truly high quality teacher assessment, not removing these marks and, with it, practical work."
