Land registry joins PISCES open standards organisation
Land Registry is pleased to announce that it has signed up to full membership of the e-business standards body PISCES (Property Information Systems Common Exchange Standard) from January 2008, as part of its commitment to the adoption of e-conveyancing.
Land Registry Director of Information Systems John Wright said: "We are delighted to sign up as members of PISCES and look forward to a productive partnership. PISCES is one of the key drivers behind the adoption of open e-business standards for the property industry, enabling it to function more effectively and efficiently.
"Land Registry is naturally keen to be part of this. Since many of our customers are already members of PISCES, we believe this development will be taken very positively as a sign of our commitment to e-conveyancing." PISCES is a not-for-profit company widely seen as a key player in driving rapid take-up of e-commerce, for the benefit of the property industry and its customers.

"PISCES has been publishing a wide range of electronic Standards for over ten years. The property industry can now adopt our eStandards in the knowledge that the whole industry is involved in their development.
