Have your say on the role of the internet in procurement processes

OGCBUYING.SOLUTIONS News Release (SURV02/12) issued by COI News Distribution Service. 8 December 2008

Public sector organisations will have a unique opportunity to influence how the Internet and web facilitates the procurement process through a new phase of web research. A survey launched today will be used to gather insight on the role that web technology plays in public sector procurement.

The survey, carried out by OGCbuying.solutions, will evaluate the online assistance used throughout the procurement process. Areas for discussion include procurement roles and responsibilities; procurement behaviour; online behaviour; and classification of sector in which respondents operate. There is also the opportunity to join a discussion panel on the wider issues of the procurement process.

Kathryn Palmer, Customer Research Manager at Buying Solutions commented today: "The feedback from this survey will be used to develop online procurement facilities. With input from consumers, we can make improvements that truly reflect the needs of our diverse range of customers, and the procurement industry as a whole".

The survey will take ten minutes to complete and is accessible online by following the link:
