Natural England attending Beef Expo 2011 to provide Environmental Stewardship advice
At a ‘one stop’ stand at Beef Expo 2011 at Newark Showground this week, farmers will be able to get expert advice about Environmental Stewardship (ES) schemes from Natural England staff and meet representatives from other organisations at a single information point at Thursday’s event.
Natural England will be at stand 74 in the Lady Eastwood Pavilion on Thursday 26th May. Natural England advisers will be on hand throughout the day alongside representatives from the British Cattle Movement Service, Rural Payments Agency and the Campaign for the Farmed Environment, providing farmers with a single information point to hear the latest environmental news, get up-to-date information and have their questions answered.
Ian Fugler, Natural England’s Director of Land Management said: ‘‘Beef Expo is a valuable opportunity for our advisers to talk to our farming customers face to face and provide straightforward advice. In particular, we can advise on how Environmental Stewardship can benefit farm businesses and explain the advice that is available, including how to take advantage of free farm visits. We will also be able to offer guidance and demonstrations on how to enter or renew Entry Level Stewardship (ELS) using our dedicated internet-based service, ELS Online.’’
Natural England will be present alongside other agencies at several national farming events this year, where advisers will be happy to answer queries and provide information and advice. Visit us at:
