Transport Committee publishes Government Response to cost of motor insurance: follow up report

Transport Committee Chair Louise Ellman welcomes government's progress on tackling insurance fraud.

The Committee publishes its Thirteenth Special Report of Session 2010–12, The cost of motor insurance: follow up: Government Response to the Committee's Twelfth Report of Session 2010-12 (HC 1934), at 00.01 am on Friday 20 April.

Commenting on this response, Committee Chair Louise Ellman MP said,

"Our work on the cost of motor insurance has put this issue on the Government's agenda. I am encouraged by the Government's willingness to tackle fraudulent whiplash claims and insurance fraud, but it’s vital we maintain adequate access to justice and that good intentions must be translated into action. The Transport Select Committee will be watching to make sure all of this happens."
