Business for Britain’s proposals are “impractical, unworkable and unjust”, says TUC

Commenting on the report published today (Tuesday) by Business for Britain which says that workers employed by UK companies which don’t export to Europe should have fewer workplace rights, TUC General Secretary Frances O’Gradysaid:

“This is just another attempt to take away people’s rights to paid holiday leave, health and safety at work, fairness and equality. It would take away basic employment rights – as well as protections like food safety and consumer rights – from everyone except the chosen few in Britain’s export industries.

“It would create a two-tier economy with reams of bureaucratic red tape. It’s impractical, unworkable and unjust.”
