NOMINATIONS OPEN: techUK Cyber Management Committee Elections
techUK is delighted to begin the process of electing a new techUK Cyber Management Committee (CMC).
The role of the CMC is to govern and strategically direct the activities of the techUK Cyber Security Programme creating opportunities for market engagement across the public and private sectors, ensuring industry is engaged and listened to during the policymaking process and bringing industry together to find solutions to shared challenges. The Committee is also the voice of techUK on key cyber security issues, developing thought leadership and promoting best practice across the sector.
The final committee will be composed of twenty Management Committee members elected from the Cyber Security Group, two of whom will serve as Chair and Vice-Chair of the Committee. There will be a limit of one representative per company on the Management Committee and a minimum of six SMEs.
For the first time, the new Committee will be asking for volunteers to put themselves forward to be one of four workstream leads, leading activities around specific sectoral issues which will be decided by the committee. Two of these will focus on market engagement activity and two will focus on policy development. These will be confirmed at the initial meeting of the Committee with topic areas also agreed. The Terms of Reference for the Committee can be found below in both word and PDF form.
