Starting on 13 May and running to 10 June, techUK will kick off a month-long campaign highlighting how tech is helping organisations, businesses, communities, families and the whole of society continue in this new reality of social distancing where we may be physically apart but we have never been more digitally together.  

Coronavirus has changed every aspect of our lives. From the way we work, travel (or not travel), learn, communicate with friends and family and exercise.  Lives have become more digitally enabled and dependant on being online than ever before. The use of business and consumer apps and cloud services have rocketed within all of our homes.  

But how is tech making a difference and are we getting this right for everyone? What are the societal and ethical issues being raised by the use of technology at this time and what can we learn from how technology is being adopted, deployed and used?     

During the month we will be bringing you four campaign weeks focused on how technology has played its part in keeping people physically distanced but socially connected; how it has facilitated the continued delivery of key public services, as well as how tech solutions have scaled to tackle challenges such as the surge in online shopping and food supply-chains.
