RoSPA - Statement on Jack's Law
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) welcomes the announcement that bereaved parents will be granted two weeks of statutory paid leave.
We pay tribute to the efforts of Lucy Herd and others, who have campaigned so tenaciously to close a cruel loophole in the law which meant some parents were not given any space to grieve the most tragic loss of all- the death of a child.
RoSPA will continue to help ensure lives are not cut short by preventable accidents at home, work, leisure and on the road. We will do so in the memory of Jack Herd and all those who have been taken from us too soon.
