eProcurement update
Award of eTenderWales and eTradingWales contracts.
Following a procurement through GCloud, the contracts for the eTenderWales and eTradingWales services have been awarded to Jaggaer and Basware respectively.
Both contracts will run from 1 April 2020 until 31 March 2022, providing continuity for users when the current contracts expire on 31 March 2020.
ESPD
We are making changes to the ESPD solution in eTenderWales and Sell2Wales to make it easier to comply with ESPD regulations and to help standardise the approach across the Welsh public sector. This follows user testing of the various ESPD solutions earlier this year, guidance from the Welsh Government policy team and discussions with the Scottish Government about their implementation.
The ESPD solution will be implemented into the test environment later this month when we will invite stakeholders to workshops to test the solution.
Once these workshops have been delivered we will capture customer feedback, undertake further evaluation and make any necessary changes to the solution. This will include the removal of duplicate questions from the existing supplier qualification information database (SQuID) question set, in readiness for implementation into the live environment scheduled for the end of March 2020.
eProcurement user group – February meeting
We have arranged an eProcurement user group meeting on 5 February, 14:00 – 16:00. As with previous meetings, the meeting will be held in Cathays Park and also made available via GotoMeeting for those wishing to join remotely.
We will provide updates on ESPD, eInvoicing regulations and outline our plans for future developments of the eProcurement service at the meeting. We will also seek your views on how Digital can help with measuring social value in our procurements and the demand for additional services such as DocuSign and contract lifecycle management.
If you would like any further information on any of these topics or wish to register to be part of the testing workshops or the eProcurement user group, please email ICTProcurement@gov.wales
IT products and services (ITPS)
As a result of feedback from stakeholders, we have decided to extend ITPS until 1 July 2020. This will ensure continuity in the provision of an all-Wales commodity IT framework.
IT products and services (ii) (ITPS2)
The tender for ITPS2 was published on the 12 December 2019 and is due to close on the 31 January 2020.
We will start evaluating the tenders during the week of 10 February. We still need more people to help us with the evaluations to help ensure we appoint the best suppliers to the framework.
If you or somebody in your organisation would like to participate please contact: paul.robertson@gov.wales.
ITPS2 is due to go live on 1 July 2020, if you would like any further information please contact: NPSICTCategoryTeam@gov.wales.
Multi-functional devices
Our MFD framework is due to expire on 22 January 2021. We will shortly be undertaking a review to scope the need for a new all-Wales MFD agreement.
If you would like to feed into the process, please contact: NPSICTCategoryTeam@gov.wales.
