techUK attends launch of Digital Skills Partnership
Bringing together influential players from business, Government and third sector, the launch of the DSP set out an ambitious agenda.
Set out in the Digital Strategy, the Digital Skills Partnership will see Government, business, charities and voluntary organisations coming together to make sure people have the right skills for the jobs in their area and are aware of all the digital training opportunities on offer.
As part of the Government’s ambitious to ensure everyone has the skills they need to flourish in a digital economy, the Digital Skills Partnership will create a plan for delivery of skills needs across the spectrum.
Launched by the Minister for Digital, Matt Hancock MP, the event featured interactive roundtables where key influencers were able to feed back on the Government’s plans to make the UK a world-leader in digital skills provisions.
The Digital Skills Partnership will look at digitally upskilling individuals at each stage – from enabling digital inclusion across the UK to bridging the skills gap that will enable greater growth and productivity in the UK economy.
techUK looks forward to working with DCMS and partners as this pioneering initiative moves forward.
