techUK and Deloitte publish industry-leading Nature Bytes Back report

techUK are pleased to be endorsing the ground-breaking report looking at the nature-related risks, dependencies and opportunities of Tech, Media and Telecoms companies.

Following COP15 in Montreal, Nature and Biodiversity has been placed firmly on the business agenda. This has been reflected by techUK’s own Tech and Biodiversity Conference in December 2022, and the exploratory work emerging from organisations as diverse as Blackrockthe WEF, and WWF.

The new Deloitte-led report on Nature and Biodiversity risks for Tech, Media and Telecoms (TMT) companies, Nature Bytes Back, adds to this growing discourse, drilling down into nature risk monitoring while giving a comprehensive analysis of the nature-risk preparedness for a large part of the tech sector. techUK were pleased to provide companies with insight to feed in, as well as a foreword from Julian David, techUK CEO.

Nature Bytes Back surveys the high-value business community’s public positions on nature risk. It then covers these risks in detail, explores the legislative landscape, and the opportunities for TMT companies in addressing these risks.

This report is truly the first of its kind for the tech sector. techUK would like to publicly thank the Deloitte team for their hard work and implore the techUK membership to study the document in detail. This field is only growing in relevance and importance, and there is a first-mover advantage to the opportunities that Deloitte have highlighted.
